Taking place during the turbulent but stimulating 15th - 17th centuries, the cities of Renaissance Europe vie for resources, money, military, culture, exploration and trade in a card-game based on resource management and card acquisition.  With mechanics reminiscent of such popular games as 7 Wonders and Dominion, this game's modular format can be adjusted to excite the beginner but also challenge the most talented strategist.   Drawing from the Renaissance and Medieval masters, the cards are lavishly gorgeous and rely heavily on self-explanatory symbols.

Ophir
Limited Capacity full

Ophir is a bustling world of trade, overflowing with precious goods to deliver to its denizens, that only the bravest and wisest choose to participate in. Moving about the tangled trade routes is a dangerous proposition, not only because of the sea itself, but also because losing the race means losing your livelihood as a master trader. The great temples of Ophir demand tribute to build their towering wonders to the gods and all great traders of Ophir seek to see the temples rise ever higher.
For 2-4 players, Ophir is a 45-60 minute pick-up and deliver game that uses unique market mechanisms to drive the economy. Each player has an exclusive role like the “Ambassador” or “Chancellor” they will utilize as they vie for resources to deliver to the Market. Gain money to purchase valuable metals and ship upgrades and grow in Influence to perform special actions as you maneuver the seas. Players will have to roll dice to enter contested waters, and your rivals will attempt to shift the Market in their favor, but if you can contribute the most silver and gold to the Temple before it is complete, you win!

With its approachable map and exclusion of direct conflict, Ophir has a familiar and accessible atmosphere that families will enjoy. But with its modular setup, exclusive player roles, and mercurial market, Ophir has tactics, replayability, and tension for experienced gamers to savor.

Far Space Foundry
Limited Capacity full

The Far Space Federation is leading an ongoing peacekeeping mission. The crew on the front lines are in constant need of new supplies and equipment, so the Federation has set up a massive supply line network. This network is composed of massive space stations called Foundries. Some Foundries are specialized in mining and processing ore from asteroids. Other Foundries are equipped with robotic manufacturing and repair facilities. Their job is to keep the flow of supplies going efficiently as possible.

The gameplay occurs in two distinct halves: Space Foundry Alpha and Space Foundry Beta.

At Space Foundry Alpha, you mine skyrite (blue crystals) and rubion (red ore) and process the two to make galactium (purple metal). On your turn, you play a card that allows you to either land a shuttle on a docking bay or take off from one. The shuttle will transport raw materials either from the asteroid or to your freighters. Each docking bay has a special ability if activated that turn, like ore processing or galactic traders. At this foundry, you must also build a fleet of freighters to haul your items. To do this, you must visit the cantina to recruit help from various alien captains (with unique abilities). Once everyone has played all of their cards, its time to head off to a new board...

At Space Foundry Beta, you take all of your acquired materials and transport them down to the station. There the robots will use that material to make various products of varying worth. Besides manufacturing, you may also upgrade your freighters or charge up your existing products for more points. Once the freighters are filled back up again, its time to transport the items to their final destination ... final scoring!

American Civil War Mini Campaign - Game 1 of 3
Limited Capacity seats available

Part One of a three session American Civil War mini campaign covering three battles. The battles will occur on Friday night, Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon.

*** Please register for all three battles! ***

The effects of battle will be present in subsequent battles and the commanders of the forces will have decisions to make between engagements that will add additional effect to the next battle.

The battles will be fought with 28MM miniatures and will use the Field of Battle ruleset from Piquet.

This is a terrific set of war game rules. The rules have some abstractions and devices to remove complete control of the players, making you more like a high ranking general of the time. Additionally, the battles complete in an appropriate time frame and have a finite ending condition.

In my opinion the rules cause you to think like an 18th century command staff:

1. The objective of battle is not a hill or a crossroads, but to destroy your enemy's ability to wage war. Certainly, that hill or crossroads might assist you in that effort.

2. Communication, planning and cooperation between commands is encouraged, but the friction of battle often yields the unexpected.

3. Attacks are encouraged where it makes the most sense and it is not wise to spend the lives of your little lead command unwisely.

There are four figures each a different color that players chose from. There are three dice that players roll that determine number of moves, totems (lips, ears, eyes, brain) detemine the action reguired by the player. For example, if you roll lips, that means you need to speak to describe the situation. The situation is determined by a Word you have selected from one of two piles. All words have an emotional connection. Players can elect to not describe a certain situation or they can ask others for assistance. But, no one is allowed to give advice to another unless asked. Competition is with one's self and cooperation is encouraged. The winner is the one with the most points determined by answering questions the allowed way.

Chaos & Alchemy
Limited Capacity seats available

Chaos & Alchemy is a fast-paced game of laboratory devices, exotic experiments and subtle rivalry between alchemists. Each player conducts an experiment each turn by rolling dice, hoping for each die to be at least as high as the shared Fortune Die. Each success lets the alchemist draw a new card from the deck or play a card from hand. Each failure means a discard. Players race to build up a laboratory sophisticated enough to turn lead into gold, with innovations totaling 10 or more points.

Limited Capacity seats available

It is raining! And the kids want to play tag... But that Ming vase seems a bit precariously placed for such indoor rowdiness. The solution is "TAG! You're IT", the card game of… well, tag.

Players secretly pass cards to other players, attempting to sluff off the IT card. The IT card can be avoided, by use of the Dodge card. Quick to learn and fun to play.

One card is marked IT, some cards are marked Dodge, and most cards are Blanks. Additionally there are No Tag Back cards and Time Out cards.

Hansa Teutonica on Touch Table
Limited Capacity seats available

Play Hansa Teutonica on a touch table!

The players act as traders trying to get victory points for building a network of offices, controlling cities, collecting bonus markers or for other traders using the cities they control. After controlling a line between two cities with your pawns you can decide to build an office (and maybe also establish control and/or get a bonus marker) or to get a skill improvement from some of the cities.

Players have to improve their traders' "skills" for the following effects: getting more VP from offices in their network, getting more available action points, increasing the number of available pawns, and getting the right to place pawns and get more special pawns.

American Civil War Mini Campaign - Game 2 of 3
Limited Capacity seats available

Part Two of a three session American Civil War mini campaign covering three battles.

American Civil War Mini Campaign - Game 3 of 3
Limited Capacity seats available

Part Two of a three session American Civil War mini campaign covering three battles.

Far Space Foundry
Limited Capacity filling up
